I got to spend some time with Simone in the studio the other night, and we shot some fun looks. I love being able to create these editorial portraits I've been trying to reproduce since my teenage days flipping through glossy magazines. 

Nowadays, only celebrities and famous faces get glamour treatments and fancy photoshoots. They get magazine features and camera attention, while the rest of us common folk rarely have the opportunity to be seen and captured in beautiful lighting. I do these shoots to show my friends how I see them - equally as stunning as a face on a magazine cover and as special as any famous superstar.

The combination is just so iconic, and reminiscent of the black and white images of supermodels from the past (Elle MacPherson, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington) by Herb Ritts and Peter Lindbergh. It was so natural, simple, unretouched, and beautiful.
