Bay Area Maternity Photography: Alishia + Richard
Maternity photos, but make it glam.
Last week, I shot maternity photos for Alishia and Richard. Too cold to venture out to a San Francisco beach in the dead of winter, we set up a makeshift studio in their garage.
This was my first time shooting maternity, and wow, what an opportunity to capture portraits of womanhood, beauty, and the unbelievable wonder of the female body. I wanted the styling to be simple to highlight the baby bump, and these portraits to highlight the anticipation and excitement at this special point in their lives.
Congrats on this momentous adventure and I can’t wait to meet baby Rachel!

They stood on an open patch of grass, framed by the most amazing cypress trees. Michelle got down on one knee and everything fell into place.
With a black velvet sweep and a 5' octobox, I shot some intimate couple portraits in a way you'd never see college sweethearts photographed. No stereotypical lovey-dovey gimmicks, just genuine love.
During the short time we spent in enchanting Vernazza during our day trip to Cinque Terre, I sneakily captured these cute strangers hanging out on the break wall on the edge of the water. Seeing lovebirds like them make my heart smile and I couldn't help but freeze the moment.
Dearest Janine and Kyle, don't stop derping, don't stop dancing, and never ever stop laughing.
Chris and Cynthia are hands down the cutest and goofiest couple ever. Shooting them was such a blast.
My friend Lexus got married in front of family and friends at the beautiful Fairview Crystal Springs in Burlingame. And I got to be there to witness and capture the action.
